What is the difference between a topper, a 3/4 topper, and a full wig?

A topper comes in any size like 5x6, 6x7, 7x7 up until 12x12. It getsclipped to the top of your head, and the hair blends with your own to give ita natural look, like a crown coverage extension. A full wig covers yourentire head, and your hair gets tucked inside; there is no blending. A 3/4wig is just a really big cap topper, size 9x9 or higher, up until 12x12.

Will I have enough hair to clip the pieces in?

Due to high demand of using all clips, all newest pieces are sent withclips all around (comb available on custom order). Spraying dry shampoo/hairspray helps clip grip. Toppers feature a comb + several clips;Custom orders can skip the comb. A poly strip can be added for double-sided tape/gluing.

Do you make medical wigs for chemo and full alopecia?

Totally! Comfy caps can be customized for severe hair loss; other cap types with non-slip grips are also available for thin hair.

How much hair density do your pieces have?

Accepted Answer

Typical density is about 120% on in-stock pieces. Clients are usually very happy with the amount, or want less - hair can be thinned out on request.

How do I know what length to buy?

Pieces are measured from the center middle part down. Suggest measuring the same for yourself, plus adding 1-2 inches - better longer than shorter.

I have a side part, can I move the part around?

Yes. silk top pieces can be brushed/combed to a new part after washing, and it holds until the next wash. For a far/side part, custom order with a 5x5 silk part is recommended (parting space is normally 4" across).

Is your hair all human? Is it processed?

Accepted Answer

Yes, 100% human hair - South American (mainly Brazilian), Russian (mainly Kiev, usually red shades), and occasionally Asian/Mongolian. 
No synthetic hair mixed in. Most hair starts dark and is lightened/darkened to the needed shade; hair marked "natural" in the title is virgin/unprocessed.

What is the hair's air-dried texture?

Straight and frizz-free, generally. Some pieces are permed for a wavy air-dry texture - noted in the item description when applicable.

Air-dried wavy pieces yes; super curly, unfortunately no (wavy pieces stocked at random).

How long can I expect my hair piece to last?

Depends on care; some clients wear the same piece 2+ years, though yearly replacement is often suggested.
Longevity improves with color upkeep, moderate product use, and proper washing. Buying a backup piece is recommended.

What are the care instructions?

Accepted Answer

Trim recommended on arrival (pieces sent uncut). Brush before/after wearing.
Wash every ~4 weeks with sulfate-free shampoo, rinse conditioner thoroughly.
Use Moroccan/argan oil regularly since the hair gets no natural scalp oils.
Leave-in conditioner spray recommended in winter for tangling.
A silicone deep-conditioning mix (e.g. from Amazon) every 3-4 washes revives the piece.

No formal guarantee (handling after sale is unknown), but 6 quality checks happen before shipping. Inspect pieces immediately on arrival and reach out with concerns. No returns past the 3-day window.

What is your return policy? How long until I receive my refund?

Accepted Answer

3-day return policy (day 1 = day received; doesn't need to arrive back within 3 days). 
Must be returned unaltered — no cuts, color, cap adjustments, or concealer on silk. Email tracking number by day 3 to highlinewigs@gmail.com, or it ships back at buyer's expense ($15 domestic / $39.50 international).

Refunds processed in 1-3 business days (up to 7 more to post). 
One-time free exchange available (+$10 domestic reship fee, or standard cost internationally). 10% restock fee applies to all returns/cancellations. International returns never include original shipping cost.

Do you ship internationally? What is the ship fee? Will I need to pay  custom duties?

Yes, except Italy (complicated customs). Two methods: USPS Priority International and DHL Express. Canada: Priority $28.50 (~1-2 weeks) / DHL $52 (~1-2 business days).
Everywhere else: Priority $39.50 (~10-20 business days) / DHL Express $75 (~3-4 business days). 
Remote-area DHL surcharge +$25.Customer responsible for customs duties; items are insured and never marked as gifts.
International returns exclude shipping; domestic shipping is free.

Based in New York (Woodmere, Long Island); currently ships only, with a generous return policy in lieu of a storefront.

Occasional in-person meetings possible by email arrangement. 10% restock fee applies (usable toward a future order within 30 days).

Yes - USPS padded envelope, sender name only (note in order comments).International customs forms must declare it as Hair Piece/Extension/Crown Extension; some ship from "Highline Wigs" directly.

Depends on hair strength. Spraying hair for grip, rotating clip placement, or ordering a larger cap can help. A full wig + wig grip avoids clipping entirely.

How can I know which color to order?

Color ring rental available ($45; refundable as credit if returned within 7 days, usable within 60 days).
Instagram (@highlinewigs) has reference photos; hair samples or photos can also be mailed/emailed for color matching (photos can be less reliable).
